Francesca Anzovino
Chair
Francesca Anzovino (LL.M.) is Dutch/Italian and has experience in both domestic and international civil, criminal and human rights law. Her latest experience includes working as a case manager for the defence in the Prosecutor v. Bemba et al. and the Prosecutor v Dominic Ongwen. At the moment, Francesca is Associate Legal Officer in the Office of Public Counsel for the Defence. She is the co-founder and vice-president of a foundation specialised in reporting on international crimes and regularly publishes annotations on decisions from the International Criminal Court.
Haydee Dijkstal
Haydee Dijkstal is a US attorney practicing international criminal and human rights law before international, regional and domestic courts. Her practice has included work before the ICC, ICTY, SCSL, African Commission and Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights and UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention. She has been a member of legal teams representing parties including the defence, victims and Governments before the ICC and other courts, and currently works on the legal team representing victims of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla and legal team representing Palestinian victims before the ICC.
Chloe Grandon
I am French lawyer at the Paris Bar since 2012, and have practiced before the ICC since November 2014 on the Defence for Bosco Ntaganda. Prior to that, I worked at the ICTY, both in Chambers and on a Defence team. I also worked in a Parisian firm for two years on criminal and civil law cases. These professional experiences follow an academic background in international humanitarian law and international criminal law. Since 2015, I have been committed to addressing issues regarding the status and rights of people working on ICC defence teams.
Michael Herz
Michael Herz was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010 and has worked, for the past eight years, in international criminal justice. He is currently a legal officer of the Office of Public Counsel for the Defence at the ICC, assisting defence teams appearing before the ICC on a daily basis and generally promoting defence rights within and outside the Court. Prior to this, he has worked for the prosecution at the ICTR, the Appeals Chamber at the ICTY, and the defence at the SCSL and ECCC.

Thomas Obhof
I started at the ICC as an intern with the OPCD. Since then, I have worked on the Defence Teams for General Ali, President Kenyatta, Charles Blé Goudé and currently for Dominic Ongwen. During my tenure at the ICC, I have spent much of the time conducting in-country investigations. When I am not working, I enjoy fishing, skiing and working in my father-in-law’s garden. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology, an LLM and Juris Doctor. I am a registered attorney in the State of New York (practicing out-of-state).
Grace Sullivan
Grace Sullivan completed her LL.B. at Trinity College Dublin (2011) and Masters at Oxford University in 2012. Following a period volunteering with the Judges at the UNDT (Nairobi), she assisted in the representation of both Ambassador Muthaura and William Ruto at the ICC, by providing legal and case management support in The Hague and conducting investigations in Kenya. She was also a legal assistant in the successful defence of two defendants before the STL. Grace is currently a legal assistant and investigator in cases representing victims in Kenya and Sierra Leone.
