Victim's Committee Representative, Luc Walleyn, introduces the ICCBA to the CCBE

On Saturday 3 December, Luc Walleyn, chair of our victims’ committee, met in Brussels with members of The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) Law Committee. CCBE membership includes the bars and law societies of 45 European countries.

Luc presented an overview of the ICCBA. The CCBE members emphasised the value in having the ICCBA supported by other Bars – a fact the ICCBA of course recognises.

The ICCBA hopes, with the help of the CCBE and other Bars, to establish an acceptable basis for effective participation by other bars in the work of the ICCBA. Further such meetings to formulate such arrangements are planned in the new year.
